Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today, we have a 2013 Cadillac SRX and we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Demco Diode Wiring Kit. Adding diode wiring to your vehicle is gonna allow you to get the functions from your motor home to the taillights on your towed vehicle. There's a couple of different ways that you can go about this. Diode wiring is my favorite way to do it, but you can get magnetic lights, which are the lights that you'll see on the back of people's cars. On the SRX, you would have to mount them up here further because this is going to be a plastic part. more

Roadmaster Diode 7 to 6 Wire Coil Kit Installation - 2016 Cadillac Escalade- Video

Roadmaster Diode 7 to 6 Wire Coil Kit Installation - 2016 Cadillac Escalade

Rob: Hey everybody. Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Roadmaster high powered diode wiring kit on our 2016 Cadillac Escalade. Now the reason why you might want a diode kit is if we want to flat tow our Escalade behind our motor home so we can have a convenient way to get around once we get to the camp ground. But the problem comes in, we need to get our lights back here because whether you're towing a vehicle or a trailer, we have to have those signals so when we're going down the road, everyone knows what's going on around us, whether we're going to be changing lanes, stopping or driving at night. Our diode kit is going to allow us to transfer those signals from our motor home to the back of our Escalade. That way we have all those lights and signals and we can get down the road safely and they're going to provide us with our taillights, turn signals and our brake lights. more

Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring Kit Installation - 2009 Cadillac DTS- Video

Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring Kit Installation - 2009 Cadillac DTS

Today on our 2009 Cadillac DTS we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Roadmaster Universal High Power Diode Wiring Kit, part number RM-154. Here's what this diode wiring setup is going to look like once it's on the vehicle. As you can see, we've got our 4 fold 00:00:18 connector here at the front, and the reason we've got this wiring on this vehicle is so that it can be towed on a tow dolly, and you've got the lights on the vehicle working. But this vehicle cannot be towed as a flat tow setup, so that's why it's going to be on a dolly. This system does a good job of making sure that the 4 fold power that's going to be provided to this connector here will be transferred to the rear lights of the vehicle, so that you will have the functions of tail lights, turn signals, and break lights at the rear of the vehicle to make sure that the drivers on the road behind you can be properly alerted to what you are doing. The diodes that are included with this kit allow you to get 2 separate signals, but they don't have to cross. They end up meeting in the same spot at the tail light, but they don't cross so that you don't have to tap and possibly risk messing with the vehicle's wiring, so it's going to help protect your vehicle. more

Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring Kit Installation - 2016 Cadillac SRX

Today on our 2016 Cadillac SRX we'll be installing the Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring Kit with 4 diodes, part number BX8848. In addition to the large spool of 4-pole, flat trailer wiring, here's what the rest of the kit consists of. Obviously, we have our 4-diode packs here to make our connections for our tail lights, our turn signals, and brakes. It will work by having the wires for the tow vehicle go in, the factor wiring go in, and then out towards the light itself, so it will utilize the factory lighting on the vehicle. We have an additional ground cable extension here, a self-tapping screw and a ring terminal to ground the wiring out to the body of the vehicle. We have a butt connector here to make our connections. Additionally, we have an extension cable here for the tail light going over to the right side of the vehicle, the right turn signal, and brake light. more
